Gordon Beall Photography

Profile
Gordon Beall has been photographing architecture and especially interiors both nationally and internationally for over 30 years. A graduate of Washington and Lee University in Virginia, he became interested in photography while completing his studies in Fine Arts. After finishing at W&L he started working for an MFA in photography at George Washington University in Washington DC, but never completed it as he had already started to work professionally in the 1970's. His first architectural assignments within the first few years of his career pointed him to the path that he now follows almost exclusively.

In addition to his work for architects, interior designers, and others, his photos appear frequently in major national shelter magazines such as Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, Metropolitan Home, Veranda, House Beautiful, and others. He has also photographed numerous books for Meredith Books, as well as monographs for architects. In the fall of 2008 Clarkson Potter published The New Traditional by Darryl Carter which was photographed entirely by Gordon.
